• Service Clubs

  • Service Clubs are voluntary, non-profit organizations where members meet regularly to perform charitable works, either by direct hands-on efforts or by raising money for other organization. Los Gatos has 5 Service clubs in town.

  • The local club is the most important single element of Lionism.  It is the club which carries out the programs.  Los Gatos Lions Club is made up from a wonderfully diverse group of men and women who love to work and play together while doing projects that help and support the community and a large number of local charities.  The club membership is continually growing.  The Los Gatos Lions raise about $180,000 annually to give back to the community and to Lions sponsored and international programs.

  • The History Club of Los Gatos is a women's non-profit philanthropic organization formed 1897 for members to socialize, support our community, and volunteer to serve.  We rent our beautiful clubhouse and garden in order to contribute proceeds to local charities that benefit residents of Santa Clara County, particularly women and children.

  • Rotary Club was chartered in 1924 to nurture ideas, develop projects and deliver service to the community and the wider world. Members live or work in Silicon Valley, and give back to the community through projects supporting numerous clubs and charities. Rotary Club of Los Gatos invests in and supports our youth at both Los Gatos school districts, Leigh High School, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, CASSY and many more efforts to engage and enable student success in leading and serving in the world. In addition, local club members engage in international Rotary efforts to end Polio, Stop Hunger, Project Amigos and the Rotary Foundation. Club members join Rotary to make a difference through service and friendship.

  • The Kiwanis Club of Los Gatos was formed on December 20, 1923.  It is the oldest service club in Los Gatos and Santa Clara Valley.

The first Kiwanis Club was formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1915.  Clubs were originally organized to promote the exchange of business among members.  Shortly after it became a service club helping children around the world.  Today, there are nearly 300,000 Kiwanis Club members and and additional 300,000 members in other clubs that make up the "Kiwanis Family".  The work "Kiwanis" was derived from a Native American phrase meaning "We trade our talent".. and that we do!
